The Client

They have also developed prominent brands such as Tim Horton’s, McDonald’s, Fionn MacCool’s, Shell and Petro Canada.
The Challenge
The client had their infrastructure setup on-premises. The challenge was meeting the expectations of the customers in terms of delivering the stable and sustainable service through scalable, secured and reliable infrastructure solution apart from cost-optimization.
The Solution
The AWS Server Migration Service is used effectively and efficiently to migrate the servers of different applications to AWS. All components of the application stakc including computing, storage, database, networking etc., are planned and migrated from on-premises to AWS with the least and acceptable downtime without impacting the business process. The entire application stack consisting of windows workloads including Windows Servers, Active Directory, MS SQL Server etc. is successfully migrated to AWS. The required AWS services such as Amazon EC2 for Windows Servers, RDS for Microsoft SQL Database, AWS Server Migration Service, S3, etc. have been appropriately selected and used for the architecture design and implementation.

Hallmark’s well-designed migration strategy helped Sunray Group make a smooth migration of their workloads including Windows applications and SQL databases from on-premises to AWS.
